In response to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops request for assistance for those affected by recent natural disasters, Bishop Roger Foys has instructed parishes of the Diocese of Covington to conduct a second collection the weekend of Oct. 14 and 15 in support of hurricane relief efforts throughout the State of Florida and the Caribbean and earthquake recovery efforts in Mexico.
These funds will be used to assist those as they respond to emergency needs for necessities such as water, food, sanitation, shelter and medical care.
These funds will be sent to those dioceses affected, as a gift from the people of the Diocese of Covington, with instructions to disperse these monies to the areas most impacted by this natural disaster.
Be assured that 100% of the funds collected will go directly to the arch/dioceses in the State of Florida, the Caribbean and Mexico.
