2018 World Meeting of Families

“The Gospel of the Family: Joy for the World” is the theme for the 2018 World Meeting of Families in Dublin, Ireland, Aug. 22-26, 2018. Participants will encounter Jesus Christ, experience his universal Church and return home empowered for discipleship.

Weekend Manager – Parish Kitchen

The Parish Kitchen ministry of the Diocese of Covington’s Catholic Charities needs two Weekend Managers to help manage and serve as part of a two-person team. Depending on availability, a Manager could be scheduled as little as once a month to as much as four or five times per month on a Saturday and/or Sunday. Hours of work on the weekend are 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Weekend Managers work directly with the local poor providing a hot meal and warm hospitality. Prior experience in food service, pastoral ministry, or social work is a plus. Jail Ministry Coordinator

The Diocese of Covington’s Catholic Charities is looking for qualified individuals interested in serving as Jail Ministry Coordinator. The position is approximately 16 hours per week, including some evenings, and requires a practicing Roman Catholic with a Bachelor’s degree in a human services field and some experience in pastoral ministry. Preferred qualifications include a familiarity with community resources in Northern Kentucky, good communication skills, a calm demeanor, and the ability to establish and maintain boundaries. Duties include leading and working with advisory committees and support groups serving the incarcerated, the newly –released, their families, as well as victims and their families.
